Buckingham TREE POLE LINEMAN BUCK STRAP EXTENSION
A : "Buckingham TREE POLE LINEMAN BUCK SAFETY STRAP EXTENSION. When i was working the high line this was one of my favorite pieces of gear. In a flash you could extend out another 12-14 inches, without adjusting your buckle, or to give that extra bit when your strap was already maxed. With my strap at max & clipped to the extension i could lay out almost completely horizontal to reach bells on eight foot arms. I got this new in May '92 & let me tell ya, these were REALLY HARD TO GET & if you didnt KNOW SOMEBODY they were nearly impossible to acquire. The GOOD straps (neoprene canvas mix i think) were hard to get & these extensions even harder. These dont get much wear from the pole as it doesnt really touch it. Most wear is from swinging on your belt. The color has faded,but there is nearly no wear to the strap area.
Now Im gonna tell ya that i am selling this as a collectors item,because i am not going to be responsible for what a good climber , great climber , or wannbe novice climber decides to do or not do with his gear. Personally, i would not hesitate to use this again, but thats me. I used this in tree removals for a long time,mostly when working butts down,but it was the first thing to come off my saddle on a prune job(yeah , i know all you guys with tens years or less are saying" that THING weighs more than my saddle"!) LOL, i still remember the Manilla rope days of late 70s early 80s........ANYWAY, This was a fine piece of equipment in its day. "

Over the years i have been expert on everything from vintage GI Joe's To antique glass, but as my interests & inventories have changed i have forgotten alot.....Hence my motto.
I list items as accurately as possible & to the best of my knowledge. I am human & do make mistakes sometimes so if something is not as i said it was i will do what i can to make things right. I prefer to take a lot of pics instead of typing 10,000 words to describe an item. To me the pics say way more about an item than i can write.
I literally have Thousands & Thousands of items to list, i just dont have the time to list them all at once. So please check back often because you never know what you might find.
I try to list LIKE KIND items as much as possible to encourage multiple purchases. Which means many single items i have may be a long ways from getting listed. Every once in awhile i come across something that has been around for 10 years & think to myself " I REALLY OUGHT TO GET THIS LISTED" If you are looking for something you cant find, drop me a line....who knows i may have one waaaaay in the back corner.
