This heavy-duty, D System picnic pump is also know as an American Sankey and fits most North American kegs. The 8 inch long pump provides more air into the keg per stroke requiring less pumping. It has a durable, chrome-plated construction and will provide years of draft beer enjoyment!

This durable keg pump will provide enjoyment for many years if cared for properly. The following cleaning and maintenance tips will ensure that it will serve only the greatest tasting beer:
Clean beer line after each use with household detergent or beer line cleaner. First, unscrew the keg coupler from the pump body. Next, open the beer line pathway by engaging the coupler handle and flipping the plastic spigot handle forward to lock it into an open position. Completely submerge the coupler end only in cleaning solution according to instructions. Make sure that the entire beer line is submerged and that the cleaning solution can flow through. Rinse the cleaning solution thoroughly by holding either the faucet end or the coupler end under running water and allow the cleaning solution to flow out. Reassemble the keg coupler to the pump body.
After extended usage, the beer will leave a deposit called beer stone which will affect the flavor of the beer and the performance of the pump. Specially formulated beer line cleaners should be used to eliminate this buildup.
The pump body does not need regular cleaning because it does not come into contact with the beer. However, the plunger will have to be lubricated periodically to ensure easy pumping and to prevent the o-rings from becoming worn.
Harsh cleaning chemicals such as bleach are not recommended because they will corrode the washers and metal components quickly.
There are several washers that should be replaced as needed. They include the plunger o-ring, Thomas check valve, pump body washer, bottom seal washer and probe washer.
