BRIDGEPORT OR SIMILAR DRO 2-PIECE SWING/SWIVEL ARM MOUNT NEW
I'm listing this older style 2-piece swing/swivel arm as new, for the following reasons:
- black splatter finish is original and extremely clean.
- no bolt/washer markings of any kind on any of the mounting holes.
- both nyloc mounting nuts are original and the nylon shows no engagement.
These arms have not been tampered with in any way, other than to remove some rust from the pin/socket of lower arm and pin of upper arm due to exposed metal during it's storage. I estimate the age/storage of the arms around 25 to 30 years, although someone pointed out that they were made/sold as recently as 10-15 years ago for acu-rite or Metronic dros. If this is the case a tray will be required to attached to the upper arm assy. They are still available.
Can be mounted to mill using upper arm only (tag says max 130 lbs one arm), or using both (tag says max 65 lbs both arms).
I don't know if this was an older genuine Bridgeport accessory or part of a DRO package. I suppose it could also be used for a tooling rack.
First picture shows both arms loosely assembled, while the second shows the pieces.
Would make an ideal DRO/tooling setup for a restored Bridgeport or an original pristine unit.
