Stentura 500 stenograph court reporting machine
This 500 is used, but in very good condition. The keys have leather key covers that are used, but still have a lot of life in them... The machine probably doesn't 'need' servicing at this time, but was put into a paperless mode before I received it, (this done upon my request). I work from home and do closed captioning and CART and do not ever use paper. I didn't see any use in having the wheel turn all the time. The company I bought the machine from disabled the paper feed, but said it can easily be put back to feeding paper. I do not know exactly what they did to turn it off (I 'think' just unplugged something) and I am unsure what has to be done to get it moving again. I just know that when they put it in the paperless mode, they said it was easy to put back... and in fact, they may be able to instruct you over the phone on how to enable it again. I am not sure though. So as I was saying, the machine probably doesn't need servicing at this time because it is very clean inside and out, however, if a professional needs to re-enable the paper feed, you may choose to have it serviced at that time.
Also, the tripod case (in photographs) is not actually being sold with this bundle. I thought I had two of them, but after I took the pictures, I wasn't able to locate the other one. So I would like to keep this tripod case, however, if it makes or breaks the deal, you can still have it. :)
The machine comes with a Stenograph dust cover that has elastic for a snug fit. I would keep it because I like it so much, but my ergonomic machine isn't a product of Stenograph, so that makes me feel weird. ;)
Also included is the strudy, wheeled carrying case that I would consider to be in excellent condition. It has several compartments and a long extendable handle. I would like to keep this item too, but my ergonomic machine doesn't fit comfortably in it, so it is being sold with the 500.

This machine can be used by a professional or student. I cannot guarantee the life of the battery because I always used this machine plugged in. I didn't move my equipment around so the entire time I was using this machine, the power cord was always attached.
