Heidelberg quickmaster wash-up gear - brass replacement
The wash up gear that came on Heidelberg Quickmaster presses was made of plastic, and after being in use for a year or more, this gear would loose teeth, and cause wash-up problems. We have duplicated this gear in brass, so you will never have to replace it again. The brass gear slips on the shaft and secures with the same pin that held the plastic gear. It is very easy to replace, and it works like a charm. You will save a bundle of money compared to the replacement parts Heidelberg will try to sell to you, changing to a different roller. Everyone who runs a Quickmaster and uses the blanket wash attachement, should have one of these gears on hand for when it is needed, and it will be needed! If you are not sure you want to replace the plastic gear with brass, we can send you one made from hard nylon. It is the same gear, machined the same way. It is the same price, so if you want nylon instead of brass, just specify "nylon" in your order.
