All-state flux core aluminum sealcor rod 1/8" 2# $58

ESAB All-State SEALCOR Alloy - 1/8" X 32" - 2 lb Tube - Case of 12 (24 lbs total) - 69050093
A special aluminum flux cored brazing alloy for fabrication and repair of all weldable grades of aluminum including cast, sheet, and wrought. Ideal for out-of-position work, building up and joining dissimilar gauges of aluminum.
All-State Sealcor aluminum rod has a wide operating range; at high temperatures, it flows freely but at low temperatures, its high viscosity enables it to be used for build up and filling gaps.
Clean weld area. Align parts, leaving a gap of 1/16" (1.6mm) to 1/8"(3.2mm) if possible. Parts thicker than 1/8" (3.2mm) should be beveled 60 to 70 when butt joints or cracks are involved. Use a large tip with a carburizing flame to heat the work piece, keeping the flame 1" (25.4mm) to 3" (76.3mm) from the surface. Occasionally touch Sealcor to the weld area under the torch flame until filler metal begins to flow. Deposit small amounts of alloy at a time, allowing it to flow out. It is not necessary to melt the base metal at anytime. Flux residue should be removed with hot water and stiff brush. Caution: if rod is partially used, crimp end to seal flux
Good (Will Darken if Anodized)
