Item is a small electric clutch, P/N 4580434-B, which was manufactured by Electroid Company. The clutch has been modified from its original form by the addition of a sprocket, which is easily removed with three screws, and which can be replaced with some other drive component. The coil is designed to set screw onto a .315" diameter (8 mm) shaft. The clutch plate has a bearing that slips over the same size shaft. When the coil receives power, the rotating clutch plate snaps against the inner and outer coil poles. The original torque rating is unknown. This item was originally purchased and modified for use in a prototype. It is warranted to be in excellent working condition.
