These reamers extend the tool life of those expensive tapered pipe taps. All standard tapered pipe taps are taper per foot. Use these reamers before you start tapping a new tapered pipe thread. The hole you drilled is straight. This reamer will taper it to taper foot removing access stock the drill did not remove. The hole will tap with lot less difficulty after reaming.
