Stock tank de-icer no battery powered nice
Someone is going to get a wonderful deal! This is a livestock water tank heater that runs by car or RV battery, an RV battery we have found works better. I am leaving the wire and clamps right on it and I will also include the adapter that allows it to fit properly into a RUBBERMAID stock tank. When last hooked up it worked just fine and it gets surprisingly hot. On two fully charged RV batteries connected, it lasts almost 12 hours and since warm water rises and it is in the bottom of the tank, the water stays unfrozen for quite a long time if you keep the batteries switched out. I switched mine out every 10-12 hours, if you have a remote tank without electricity it sure beats schlepping water or breaking ice every day. I used it in a 100 gallon tank, it may work longer in a smaller tank but I never tried it.
