These memory Chips have a build in Lithium Battery that lasts up to 10 years after power is applied for first time, If your instrument has a calibration related error, this is probably due to the internal lithium battery being exhausted, by replacing this Chip with preloaded Cal Data the error will go away, however complete realignment may still be necessary in order to compensate for differences between instruments and component tolerances
Please use the supplied IC socket to install the new memory on A5 PCB, DO NOT SOLDER the chip directly to PCB
