For high quality surface finishes when light roughing and finishing low alloyed and alloyed steels under fairly good conditions. Also for high quality surface finishing on stainless austenitic steel when turning under favourable conditions. Moderate to high cutting speeds and moderate feeds permit high metal removal rates.
