Shallcross Kelvin Wheatstone Resistance Bridge 638-R
Warning, DO NOT USE THIS WITHOUT DOING THE FOLLOWING! You will need to replace the red and black power wires inside. I took out the screw to inspect the electronics and everything was intact except for those 2 wires which were still connected right but the insulation had dry rot and had deteriorated in several spots. Luckily we did not put any batteries in this before checking it out. You should replace these wires before trying to use this device. You will need basic soldering skills in order do this task.
Overall I'd say this is a nice uncommon piece of vintage testing equipment that can be refurbished and make a wonderful addition to your collection. Below is a link to another page I found on the web about this device. It's still a useful tool for the part time electrical engineers out there.
