This multipurpose Hammond 1590BFL-Box is rugged, diecast aluminium alloy (tough yet easy to machine), electronic instrument enclosure. It is easy to machine, perfect for audio and RF shielding (provides for improved EMI/ RFI shielding)
The external height is 63mm, external width is 187.5mm and external depth is 187.5mm. The IP Rating is 54 in which it is designed to meet standard IP54. The enclosure colour is natural - unpainted version which vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges. The enclosure material is aluminium alloy and it has no SVHC.
The lap joint construction provides protection against access of dust and splashing water. The lap jointed lid, fastened by machine screws into threaded holes.
The flanged lid allows for easy mounting to walls or shelves & provides high security (as lid screws are hidden against wall or shelf). For low side wall draft angle (2 degrees or less) for easy P.C. board mounting.
If you require easy access to enclosure except the lid is extended and four countersunk holes are cast into the flanges. The flanged lid allows for added security as the lid screws are hidden against the wall or shelf.
