USED!! -NO FRILLS- 16 cam CCTV DVR w/ 250Gb and Ethernet!
Refurbished DVRs can save you thousands of dollars!!
These units are from an upgrade project. They are about 5 years old. We were told to do what we want with the old ones. They were re-branded GE Kalatels by 4 different companies, so in order to compare apples to apples, we are describing them as what the original manufacturer called them, GE DVMRe Triplex. We are not rebranding them to save time and money, so now we call them -NO FRILLS- to express the huge value.
We have replaced both cooling fans, replaced the CMOS button battery, erased all the data, reset the unit to manufacturers specs and thoroughly tested the hard drives. The unit you receive will have at least 500GB of hard drive storage but yours will probably have more! Why not remove one of the hard drives and use it in an empty IDE slot on your PC?
We will include the power transformer with the DVR.
To save paper we include a CD with:
* Complete GE Quick guide (Get your recorder up and running quickly!)
* Complete GE User Manual (For you knowledge junkies!)
* WaveReader Software ver 4.2.24 for your windows based PC (Are you kidding? Software too?)
* Technical Refernce guide 'Networking Digital Video Recorders over DSL (LAN to Internet)'
* Technical Reference Guide 'WaveReader Software and DVMRe FAQs'
* Technical Reference Guide 'DVMRE Triplex Flash Procedures'
If you need one, I will include a free DB25 alarm input/output adapter, just ask. But I have only a few, so it is "AS SUPPLIES LAST"
The DVMRe Triplex combines a digital video multiplexer and a leading-edge technology digital video recorder in one unit. It records video from up to 16 cameras and single-channel audio to its internal hard drive. Because its digital, it gives you superior quality images and spares you the headaches of VCR maintenance and videotape management.
* View live and recorded images while continuing to record.
* Access recordings from a PC.
* Search for images by alarm, time, date, ATM or POS text, or motion.
* Email digital images right from the DVR or transfer to a CD from your PC.
* Easy to use with VCR-like controls.
* Eliminate VCR maintenance and videotape hassles.
* Use watermarks to validate image integrity and authenticity.
The Kalatel DVMRe Triplex is the top of line digital multiplexer/recorder designed to exceed your expectations of a surveillance recording system. The popular Triplex functionality has been taken one step further with new features that put the DVMRe Triplex in a class by itself.
Without disturbing recording, live and recorded images can be viewed simultaneously on separate monitors or combined onto one monitor. No longer will you miss important events because you are reviewing stored images. In the event of power outage the DVMRe Triplex retains all camera-tocameo assignments in nonvolatile memory so all screen configurations will be reestablished when the system is powered up.
And there will be more, clearer images for review. By utilizing Parallel Video Processing (PVP), DVMRe Triplex can record up to 60 pictures per second (pps). This rate is twice as fast as many other digital recorders and three times faster than most muliplexer/VCR combinations. These images will be archived in the system's hard drives,improving your ability to store and access record images.
The Kalatel DVMRe Triplex also offers FireWire as a standard connection. FireWire is a ultra high-speed serial data connection that is capable of transfer speeds of up to 400 mega bits per second to a DVSe . This is 33 times faster than USB. Firwire uses a IEEE 1394 port for transmission. The cable for the IEEE 1394 port must be purchased separately.
* Triplex capability enables users to watch live and recorded images on one monitor while continuing to record
* PVP for ultra-fast recording up to 60 pps (50 pps PAL)
* Search video clips using motion search to find motion in a user-defined area
* FireWire connection offers highspeed serial data transmission
* DHCP-enabled feature minimizes the communication problems associated with dynamic IP addresses
* Retrieves the date and time from the Network Time Protocol Server via UDP packet exchange
* Jog/shuttle control provides variable-speed forward, reverse play, and frame-by-frame scrutiny of a paused recording
* Graphical disk analysis screen display for improved recorded data analysis
* Dual multiscreen monitor displays for live viewing and playback
* Multiplexer functionality with built-in digital recording
* Ethernet LAN/WAN capability, TCP/IP protocol
* View live or recorded images remotely using WaveReader software
* PTZ over Ethernet capability provides remote PC control of PTZ units
- But ToRiTe, what use would I have for this?
The uses are endless. You can install it;
In your store or business.
In a vacant or vacation house.
In your home with a camera looking at your pool for safety, security and evidence.
I have run the video output of the DVR to an A/V input on the TV. See who is at the door.
The neighborhood social club.
In a bar or restauraunt.
Take time-lapse videos of construction projects, sceince projects, assembly plants.
Construction project - Put it in the trailer with a couple of cameras pointing out the window.
- But ToRiTe, used. How good can used be?
- But ToRiTe, aren t DVRs big and bulky?
No! These units are mountable (mounts NOT included) in a 19" rack and take up 1.5 units of space. They can be used on a de17.5" wide x 14.5" deep x 2.5" high
- But ToRiTe, mounting these things can be really hard.
Mount it in a rack (mounts NOT included) or put it on a shelf, desk, table, toilet (just seeing if i still have your attention). These are so sturdy so you can put a 14" monitor on top of them. They are designed to support 35 lbs!
- But ToRiTe, how long would the images be available?
The Hard Drive Space is HUGE! With 6 cameras or so you can literally retain images for years!
- But ToRiTe, It has really weird connectors, doesn't it?
* The video in/out is an industry standard, BNC.
* The power requirement is 12vdc @ 5amps.
* The alarm input/output is a DB25M.
* RS232 (port 1) is DB9M.
* Ethernet, RS232 (2nd port) and RS485 are RJ45 jacks.
* Video output is BNC and SVHS.
* Backing up data is hyper fast using Firewire!
* Back up data to SCSI drive as well
- But ToRiTe, It's really expensive isn't it?
Absolutely not! The value here is unsurpassed! If you can retreive evidence just one (1) time, it could pay for itself!
- But ToRiTe, what is the value here?
- But ToRiTe, Just making sure, this does have a BNC OUT so you can use a BNC to RCA adapter and a standard television for viewing, right?
Yes. You can use BNC to RCA adapter to view on any TV using your TVs auxillary
a/v input jacks that usually are RCA.
- But ToRiTe, It says 'Triplex' in your description. What does that mean?
Triplex means you can do three different functions at the same time. View Live cameras while viewing recorded video while still recording video. A lot of dvrs will stop recording while your reveiwing recoded data. NOT THIS ONE!
