Digital level - electronic water level

FAST, EASY, ACCURATE, ONE MAN DIGITAL ELEVATION MEASUREMENT PERFECT FOR:
No clear line of sight needed.
Works around, behind, over, and under obstructions.
DLS Water Level was used to hold 150'-185 ton beams level during 100' lift on the
Southern Illinois Olmsted Lock & Dam Project
The two cranes were loaded to near capacity. The DLS Water Level was used to hold all of the beams and legs level as they were raised into place. As the beams are raised the crane foreman calls the readings out to his crane operators. After the level is raised out of his sight, the engineer using the transit then zooms in on the DLS Level using the telescope of his transit to call readings to the crane operators. When the second beam comes to rest the DLS Water Level shows the 150' long, 185 ton beam now slightly over 100' off the ground to be 0.0", or perfectly level! (See pictures below)
* Faster than a laser or transit- Finish many jobs before you even have time to set up a laser or transit!
* Easy to Use- Readout provides an easy plus or minus reading from your start or reference. No tricky calculations needed to figure grades or height differences.
* Accurate- Accuracy is plus or minus 1/10 inch over the entire operating area of 100 ft. radius, or 200 ft circle.
* Trusted by Professionals- DLS levels have been in operation since 96, and used by professionals around the world.
Electronics and Fluid Dynamics
The Electronic Water Level is a very basic design consisting of a sealed reservoir which is connected through 100 ft. of 3/16 id tubing filled with fluid connected to a very sensitive pressure gauge. This is all neatly attached to a reel which has nothing to do with the operation of the level and therefore will not be mentioned again.
Regardless of the horizontal distance between the reservoir and display the display only senses the pressure differential, (which is a linear coefficient of the vertical height differential), between the reservoir and display.
In other words: regardless of how far apart the reservoir and display are horizontally, the pressure read by the display will always equal the vertical height of the display in relation to the reservoir. If the display is 1 inch higher than the display and 1 mile apart horizontally the display reads the same pressure as if the display were right beside the reservoir and 1 inch higher. 2 inches higher is twice the pressure as 1 inch, 4 inches higher is 4 times the pressure as 1 inch and 4 inches higher is twice the pressure as 2 inches, etc.
The tubing can be raised or lowered, i.e. looped over chairs- under floors when used underneath the homes in basements-crawl spaces etc., or around and behind objects without affecting the readings. Any increase in pressure by looping over a couch for example, will be exactly offset by the decrease in pressure when the tubing returns to the original plane on the other side of the couch. Only the vertical height difference of the display in relation to the reservoir changes the readings.

MANUFACTURED/MODULAR HOUSING SETUP
? Promotes Your Professional Image
A Digital Electronic Instrument is much more professional than a bucket and hose!
Set the level on the ground, pull out the display, and you re up and working in seconds. No raising the bucket to the frame level or chasing air out on every job!

Repeatable numerical data is rock solid in disputes!
? Sets You Apart from your competition
Make the other guy the one who can t do the job right!
Quick, Easy, One-Man Operation, and Once again a Digital Readout is hard to argue with!
* TOTALLY SEALED - Just check fluid level monthly
* Reads in inches and tenths
* Typically will level to .2" (1/5") over entire radius
* Magnet holds display in place when necessary
* Fluid is safe to sub-zero temperatures
Accurately check grades, grade stakes, footers, and foundations in less time than it takes to set up lasers or transits.
State inspectors in Kentucky have been using the level for over a decade, and numerous state inspectors across the country rely on the level for accurate elevation surveys.

"One of the guys I recently hired had one. Once we used the electronic digital level we were so impressed with its accuracy and ease of use we will use them on all our foundation inspections."
John Moses President, CEO Inspectex Corporation
"We jack the house level and install new timber piles. I plot the height of each pile by crawling under the house. We locate the high point then jack the rest of the piles to the same height. The water level is alot easier than using a laser and string lines. as it can go around corners."

The warranty policy regarding Digital Leveling Systems electronic water level is as follows.
If the level is determined to be in proper working order, or damaged by the user, DLS will notify the user of any charges, before repairs are made or the level is returned.
The level is not designed to operate with more than 10 foot of vertical height difference between the display and reservoir. Exceeding this height differential will over-pressure the display and void the warranty. The display can also be over-pressured by: throwing the display, dropping a heavy object on- or stepping on the tubing near the display, freezing, pressure filling, etc. The display will not withstand a pressure surge that exceeds 5 lbs. Over-pressuring the display will rupture the transducer and voids the warranty.
Filling the level with any fluid other than RV Anti-freeze, active ingredient propylene glycol may void the warranty.
There is a $49 minimum service charge on levels not covered under warranty.
