Here is a fantastic ORIGINAL International Harvester Company Gasoline Engine sign. It is in remarkable condition and is probably about 100 years old! I believe that this was a promotional sign used by the company at the time they were selling their Famous and Titan line of engines. It measures 6 1/2 x 14 inches and has raised letters on it. These must have been given to the purchaser of the engines and the dealers asked that they display them in the hopes of selling more engines. The back reads to this effect, anyway. This sign has a few wrinkles and scratches and other blemishes but it is one of the few survivors of it's kind!! I don't think many of these signs could have possibly survived the test of the combination of time and Mother Nature!! This one still has very vivid colors and everyting is very readable. The name of the maker in the bottom right corner is a sign works company in Coshocton, Ohio. If you collect early signs or International Harvester Items there are few IHC signs that are harder to find than this one...especially in this nice condition! The pictures tell the story.
