Vicon-developed software and quality construction make Surveyor 99 far superior to other dome systems. Three-phase micro-stepping motor technology driven by Vicon s proprietary software coupled with a high-performance DSP-CPU offer smooth silent motion through the entire speed spectrum of 0.25 degrees per second to 270 degrees per second. The comprehensive tour package includes an autotour mode that simplifies programming and allows in-sequence editing. Flash memory provides a means of downloading future operating systems and foreign language menus. A real-time clock permits event scheduling. Surveyor 99 allows each unit to be configured with individual requirements, or dome-to-dome programming eliminates the need to program each dome individually, if desired. The drive mechanism can be operated independently from the housing, allowing testing prior to permanent mounting.
The dome system is available with high-resolution monochrome or color autofocus cameras with a 16x optical and 8x digital zoom lens. Indoor and outdoor models are available and may be mounted in-ceiling or pendant mounted.
