What a great opportunity for anyone building or remodeling! Available for purchase is a lot of 215 linear feet of antique, quartersawn, heartpine wainscoting. Each board is 2 1/2" W x 46 1/2" H and is 3/4" thick.
Quantity: Please note that when we say "linear feet", we don't mean the length from one end of one board to the other, which would be approximately 4'. Each board measures 2 1/2" from side to side (not including tongue and groove), and if you were to connect and lay all 1,030 boards next to each other, the distance from one side to the other would be 215'. Technically, it would be more because we're only counting the flat portions, and not including the beveled edges.
Condition: For the most part, the wainscoting was salvaged in sections (see photo under "Before disassembling"). We completely disassembled each section, removed the nails from each piece, and examined each piece for defects. Any piece without a tongue, or with a broken grove, or any other serious damage was put into a "junk" pile, and we bundled the usable pieces in packs of 50. There are 20 packs of 50 and 1 pack of 30.
