which may be used as oscillator tank circuits or bandpass circuit elements.
We have measured the unloaded Q and found it to be Qu=330 @ Fr=2.947GHz. With two resonators soldered back to back
the Qu=164 @ Fr=1.470GHz. Cutting the res. size down ( resonator attached to the SMA connector in the picture ) we got
a Qu=306 @ Fr=3.970GHz. The cutting is easily accomplished with a Dremmel and inexpensive diamond cutting wheels sold at
the Harbor Freight store. The frequency may be adjusted in this way over quite a range. To a lesser extend it may be adjusted
by means of a capacitive loading.
