When comparing these two types of transistors, the question arises why the predecessor has higher parameters in comparison with subsequent models.
The answer is very simple, transistors MP16B originally released only for special use, namely: in the military industry, equipment for space research, and computers. Built on the basis of their MP42 were developed for use in household appliances, the cost of their production was reduced, and therefore they are somewhat inferior to the technical characteristics of its predecessors.
This explains the fact that transistors MP16B continue to be produced at the present time, as spare parts for special equipment of the old development, which in some cases used to this day, due to its exceptional reliability.
