These taps are manufactured with spiral flutes for increased chip clearing efficiency in soft materials in which stringy chips are generated. Especially useful in tapping deep or blind holes, and bridging keyways. Enhanced tool geometry creates less tapping torque, provides better chip removal, and increases coolant flow to the cutting teeth for more efficient threading and longer tap life.
