Solid forged geologist's hammer: geological/fossil use

Solid forged geologist's "rock hammer"
A brand new and unused one piece, solid forged chipping hammer, weighing in at 989g (~2.1lb), this hammer is the perfect tool for work both with sedimentary rocks (including fossils) and higher grade rocks (metamorphic / igneous). Its weighting has been carefully developed to provide the perfect trade-off, keeping the hammer as lightweight as possible whilst still providing the power and accuracy desired.
This hammer is made from one piece of drop-forged steel with a comfortable rubberised handle: well treated, it will will last a lifetime. A beautiful tool to be proud of, this is ideal for any user from casual fossil hunter to serious academic, and is my weapon of choice for my own field work.
Measures about 28cm / 11" including shaft; head is 17cm / 6 " from head to tail and weighs 20oz.
