AMP / Tyco Model# 69671 Hand Crimping Tool
You are looking at an 69671 crimp tool made by AMP which is now Tyco. The AMP 69671 crimp tool is designed to apply the AMP-FIT plastic pipe fittings to 3/8" (9.52mm) O.D.T. plastic tubing. It is for Telephone Air Pressurized Pipe Systems. The hand tool is a cam-action tool that features two crimping jaws that are forced to close in an arc during the crimping application.
The CERTI-CRIMP ratchet ensures full crimping of the fitting to the tubing. Once engaged, the ratchet will not release until the tool handles have been fully closed. The crimping jaws bottom before the CERTI-CRIMP ratch releases. This is a design feature that ensures maximum electrical and tensile performance of the crimp.
