Although designed for an 80mm hole, the top of the port actually measures 130x90mm when in a closed position and 160x90mm fully open, this leaves a gap of 30mm for cables. The collar sits into the desk 20mm and the top is 10mm thick giving an overall height of 30mm! Because of the brush opening, wires can pass through the port even in a closed position meaning nothing can drop through the desk that you don't want to fall through and there's no unsightly holes in the top.
