For Sale Are A Pair Of Super Heavy Duty Extension Springs
This pair of springs is brand new. They were designed to hold a snow plow blade upright but they may very well have other uses and would work to assist with lifting any item that weighs close to 2400 pounds. Could be used to hold trailer gates closed or assist in lifting nearly anything. These springs are rated at about 300 PPI each and the material is .375 inch chrome silicon steel. They are uncoated with an outside diameter of about 2 inches. As you can see from the photo the hooks fully closed loops.
Most extension springs you see listed here will have a description in the format:
(free length fully extended length Outside Diameter - total weight lifted per spring)
In this case 14" 18" 2" - 1200 which works out to roughly 300 pounds per inch of extension. I have a number of extension spring bodies that are left over from various prototyping projects if you need a certain size or rate spring feel free to ask I may have one on hand that just needs to be cut to length and hooks added. I will accept offers on this item.
