Roper whitney pexto sheet metal punch ironworker press
This is a made in U.S.A. Roper Whitney punch, Model No. 20 punch. Takes the place of a drill press or a hand drill. Also very fast and convenient for taking to the job site (no electricity needed) for contractors and fabricators. Lot faster than drilling.
This is a screw type punch which means you turn the internal arbor which closes the punch and pushes through the bottom die, the metal of course is between the two.
It has the capability of punching a 1/2 inch hole through 1/2 inch steel. The No. 20 has 20 tons of punching power. One revolution is about a 1/2 inch travel, so one turn and your through 1/2 inch plate steel.
The punch comes with a 1/4 inch diameter punch/die, and a 9/16 inch punch and die, good condition.
The retaining nut and punch and die are removed to show.
Allen wrench for the die retainer set screw.
Handle arbor takes a standard 3/4" pipe(not included).
The handle on this is the optional ratcheting type. Roper Whitney model No. 119. Alot faster than the standard handle, and much more convenient in tight spots. Handle looks almost new.
All you need is a vice, or a truck bumper or truck bed to bolt it to, and your good to go.
