A mandala, or "mystic circle," is an ancient art form that creates a sacred space. Gazing upon a mandala, we are led on a journey to an inner center. The images in this calendar, born of the marriage between nature and digital technology, express the uplifting power of mandalas in a unique, modern form.
Each mandala begins with a photograph of objects such as flowers, feathers or crystals. Artists Bell & Todd digitally remix these natural elements on their computer and transform them into living collages. Each image is a visual doorway to a state of peace. By contemplating the vibrant patterns and colors in these mandalas, we are drawn into harmony with the life-essence of our planet. We reconnect with the feelings of serenity that we enjoy in nature. Absorbing these radiant visions through our eyes and hearts, we receive healing in body and spirit. Filled by the beauty of our living world, we naturally affirm peace and respect for all.
