I also sell various types of EPROMs which may also be useful to you in your projects. I include the device programming for free. The following are some interesting observations regarding EPROM substitutions: A 27C256 EPROM CAN BE USED IN PLACE OF A 27C128 OR 27C64. TO USE A 27256 IN PLACE OF A 2764, YOU SIMPLY PROGRAM THE 8K IMAGE (THE 2764 IMAGE) INTO THE 27256 FOUR TIMES. TO USE A 27256 IN PLACE OF A 27128, YOU SIMPLY PROGRAM THE 16K IMAGE (THE 27128 IMAGE) INTO THE 27256 TWO TIMES. I ALSO INCLUDE THIS SERVICE FREE - I WILL TAKE YOUR 8K OR 16K IMAGE AND "STACK" IT INTO A 32K IMAGE SUITABLE FOR PROGRAMMING INTO A 32Kx8 EPROM (27C256 OR EQUIVALENT.) I WILL THEN EMAIL YOU THE "STACKED" IMAGE. THE RESULTING EPROM CAN THEN BE USED AS IF IT WERE A 2764 OR 27128. I GUARANTEE THAT THIS METHOD WORKS PERFECTLY - I USE THIS METHOD ALL OF THE TIME BECAUSE I HAVE MORE 27C256 EPROMS THAN ANY OTHER TYPE.
