New vat 010 mini uhv gate valve 2-3/4" conflat flanges
This is a NEW VAT Series 010 "Mini UHV" stainless steel gate valve with 2-3/4" Conflat flanges, in an air-to-open, spring-to-close configuration.
This valve came to us in the opened plastic bag as shown in the first picture, with VAT protective caps in place on the flanges. It appears to be in immaculate condition, including flange sealing surfaces. The port where compressed air would be introduced does not appear to ever have had a fitting installed. We find no clues that would indicate that this valve has ever been installed on a system.
Note that this valve uses a strong spring to effect gate closure, so it can close and seal reliably even in the event that compressed air is completely lost
The MONOVAT style of gate seal allows this valve to be very compact compared to other designs; flange-to-flange distance is only 1.38" (35 mm).
