RFPP RF Power Products LF-10 1000W Amplifier
For sale- an RFPP RF Power Products Inc. Model LF-10 1000 Watt Low Frequency RF Power Amplifier. Actually the model number on the label is shown as a 7520426010, serial number L1-2625. This unit is wired for 220VAC single phase. I bought a brand new 250V/20A twist lock connection to fit on the back. The cord is about 7 feet long, and I can put either a bladed or twist lock 220/20 amp plug on it to suit your application.
Powers up as you can see and appears to be completely responsive to the keypad. Output is variable from the front panel, 0-1000 watts @ 50-460KHz. Looks like you could control it remotely as well if you had some idea what you were doing, which I don t. No manual, no software, nothing other than the unit as pictured plus the AC cord.
When powered on the unit displays a version very briefly, initializes, then goes to the screen you see with Set 0W Max 1000W. You can run the Set watts up and down with both the coarse and fine arrows. As you can see I arbitrarily ended up on 326 watts for the pictures. Under that line it flashes RFP Panel and then alternates to EXT HLV on the second line.
Physically the unit is very nice. Some scratches on top and one corner of the rack mount front face is bent out slightly but could no doubt be bent back without a problem if you wanted to take a pair of pliers to it. The front panel looks almost untouched, no trace of wear or fingerprints. Maybe not a museum piece but not bad to look at.
In addition to an RF output on the back there is a multi-pin Analog Interface plus an RS232C/485 port that I am pretty sure is a DB25 female connection. The bar that would connect the two parallel circuit breakers is broken off, but I didn t have any problem switching them on simultaneously without it. At no time did I engage the RF On/Off control, I was afraid that without a load attached the output might be damaged.
