Vintage spool of varnished copper magnet wire

For sale is a vintage spool of varnished copper magnet wire. The spool with the wire weighs about a half pound, but other than that, I have no estimate of the amount of wire on the spool. If there were any labels to indicate the size or manufacturer of the wire, they are long gone.
The spool is wooden, and is coated with a reddish, rubbery-like coating on the ends of the spool. The spool is 3 5/8" high, and the end of the spool is 2 3/4" across. I'm sure the wire is still good, but I believe the value in this item is as a display piece on the shelves of some electronics hobbyist. This spool, and the other spools that I have posted are from my father's workroom. He was a radio, and later TV, repairman since the late 30's, early 40's, and I have no idea how long he had this spool. (If you recognize this spool, even if you are not interested in purchasing it, it would be great if you could e-mail me with any information that I could use to make this a more informative posting!)
At any rate, this would be a fun spool to have sitting on the shelves by your electronics workbench! Thanks for looking!!
