The BLACKHOLE reduces backscattered light to the levels specified. However, especially for the higher power lasers, reduced backscattered light may still be perceptible to the observer (since the eye is a very sensitive detector).
The BLACKHOLE is easy to set up. Simply align your beam path with the unit s optical axis passing through the center of the entrance aperture. The maximum acceptance angle for assuring optimum performance is 10 degrees from the optical axis in any direction. See figure at right. Visually check beam alignment from above and from the side of the unit.
