This is a Polytec Laser Doppler Vibrometer Interferometer System made in Germany and includes the following:
OFV-3000 Controller with OVD-02 Velocity and OVD-10 Displacement decoders.
OFV-302 Sensor Head with Nikon Nikor 50mm 1:1.8 Lens.
Calibration Certificate with Data.
This system was manufactured 1994 and its new cost was about $60k. It got a calibration 2003 and has only been used a few times since. These systems are very stable when it comes to calibration and it is in known good working condition - see above video link and the pictures below.
This system is used for vibration analysis of objects requiring non-contact measurements. Measurements can be done close up or as far away as 100 meters depending on the lens that is used. The lens on the OFV-302 sensor head is interchangeable with other standard Nikon lenses. The OFV-3000 controller outputs both velocity and displacement signals simultaneously with 4 velocity and 4 displacement decoder ranges. Velocity ranges: 5, 25, 125 and 1000 mm/s/V which corresponds to +/- 10 m/s max output. Displacement ranges: 80, 320, 1280 and 5120 m/V which corresponds to a maximum output of +/- 51.2 mm displacement. The very wide bandwidth of this instrument is DC to 1.5 MHz!
