This is 1pc of an 8000mcd bright white LED with a resistor pre-wired for connection to 12V sources. This is ideal for providing a source of light in a dark corner in a car or boat, as illumination for a panel meter or as a replacement for a traditional indicator lamp. At 12V the current taken is about 18mA.
You can also use it as shown in the picture connected to a 9V battery where it takes about 11mA, and a 550mAH alkaline battery will light this for 50 hours. You can see it operating with the flash on the camera tuned off here:

A 6V alkaline Duracell MN908 13Ah battery will run still quite brightly at 6mA and will last for ninety days; That's three months continous operation.
