Military contract Diesel Generator from the Navy. Less than 100 hours of use.
In great shape. Started on second pull with out warming up the glow plug.
Consumes only 0.3 gallons of diesel per hour.
Will run 3.3 hours on 1 gallon of fuel! Will run 9.5 hours on one tank (2.9 gallons).
Will also run on off road diesel, home heating oil and ULSD just fine.
Perfect for when the crap hits the fan.
Motor is a Wisconsin Robin made by Fuji Heavy Industries in Japan.
Industrial quality very small generator. These motors are designed to run for thousands of hours.
This is not a Home Depot or Lowe's POS generator.
This is an industrial grade piece of equipment.
Have Service Manual and Technical Manual which tells you how to take the whole thing down and put it together again.
The same unit is still available from Subaru Robin and costs nearly $2,500.
The civilian version materials specifications are not as stringent as the military specs such as: bearings, engine seals and gaskets, the alloy used in the motor etc.
The military version (which mine is/are are designed to last several thousands of hours and are rated for continuous operation.
BTW- the engine is 5.5hp and operates at 3600 rpm, is automatically governed and air cooled.
