Cruz blanca beer old advertising chair early 20TH c.


The style and used condition of this chair suggests the first quarter of the 20th Century. The shape and materials are those of what the trade has called "ice cream chairs", which would have had a matching table with them. This example advertises the long existing "White Cross" (Cruz Blanca) beer from Mexico, and the underside of the iron seat (it is magnetic iron) has impressed "Hecho en Mexico". There are traces of old paint in crevasses, and the piece has obviously been used for decades. However, it is in good shape, no breakage or dents or serious scratching. It stands about 18 1/2" to top of seat and 34" to top of back support. The diameter of the seat is about 13 3/4".
