PhaseMAXX (D) Series (Double Rated) rotary phase converters come complete with their own magnetic starter, overload protection, and either Hand/Off/Auto selector or Stop/Start pushbuttons. These converters can operate single or multiple motors at full rated HP. Double Rated converters are well suited for applications including lathes, milling machines, cutoff saws, drum or belt sanders, and most home workshop machines.
(D) series converters include proprietary circuitry that enables the converter to sense loads connected to the converter - providing increased motor starting torque for hard to start applications. Unlike any other make of converter, the PhaseMAXX (D) series converter can start motors driving high-inertia loads even where the load motor frame size equals that of the converter. As example, a PhaseMAXX - 15D as supplied in a NEMA 254T frame can easily and rapidly start a 15 HP wide drum sander - unheard of in any other make of converter.
