The model 5896 Mass Flow Secondary Electronics powers, controls and indicated the flow rate of a single mass flow controller (MFC). The compact unit contains a dc power supply, an LED indicator, a command set-point potentiometer and a local/remote command selector switch. The 3- digit LED indicator is adjustable to display flow as percentage of maximum flow or in engineering units. The multi-turn potentiometer has a turns counter for accurately setting the flow command. A front panel selector switch allows the use of either the front panel potentiometer or remotely generated command signal.
