This sale is for 1 tiny micro switch. Not the double wide micro switch. This is from the mid 50s. The owner of this tried to get a patent on a cigarette box bug I think before the 9 volt battery came out as I recall. Here you can see that it ran on a tube. The idea was to sit the cigarette box on a bar for cops to use. It would broadcast on a standard am car radio that someone else could listen too in order to make the bust when the proper proposition was stated.
I have the cigarette box model elsewhere but forgot where I put it it.
Anyway you can use the bug photo in number 9 to see how small these switches are.. The guy who made this only had a 9th grade education but he was also an extra class ham and he worked at Hughes where the rest of the employees had degrees in electronic engineering. They would give him the problems that they could not solve because he thought about electronics differently since he had no training and could come up with unusual solutions. I remember the Teltronics company coming out to his house because he figured out how to run a scope that ran on different voltage and cycles and mate it to aircraft voltage and cycles so it could fly and be used at the same time.
