Offered here are some better quality "HD44780 style" liquid crystal display clones. These were
removed from some super clean low use Siemens elevator controls and are better industrial grade.
The displays are backlit and offer two lines of sixteen LCD characters.
We have not tested these, but guarantee them to be usable. Characters are 1/4 inch wide and the
module measures about 1-3/8 inches high by 2-1/4 inches long. Interface to your computer or
microcontroller is via the usual sixteen gold flashed pins on 0.1 inch centers. Three snap-in nylon
standoffs are provided; there is room for a fourth.
