These were purchased at an industrial liquidation earlier this year, and they are brand new in the original factory boxes. They are imported, however, they were produced for industrial supplier Barnes Group, and the quality appears excellent. These are just the thing for cutting holes in HVAC trunks, or for running sewer pipes and vents. Uses any 5/8-18 threaded or pinned style holesaw mandrel (not included). They have a varitooth design (teeth are spaced irregularly), which helps prevent the saw from establishing a grabbing "rhythm" during use.
Comes complete with a handy speed chart, with suggested RPMs for Mild Steel, Tool* and Stainless Steels, Cast Iron, Brass, and Aluminum. Presumably, you can cut through Wood at any speed that doesn't overheat the saw and ruin the temper or warp it.
*I wouldn't get too optimistic about cutting big holes in tool steel, unless you anneal the material first.
Center hole threads: 5/8-18 (National Fine)
Center 4-pin matrix: .270" diameter, spaced 3/4" OC (on centers)
Outer 3-pin matrix: .315" diameter, spaced 2-15/16" OC (on centers)
Approximate number of teeth per inch: 4.6
