This gyro sensor is used in educational humanoid robots to maintain vertical stability for walking, bending and other balancing act.
This particular type of gyro can be found on various robots such as Robonova, Roboram - Murata boy and many more.
This latest generation Gyroscope sensor is made of extremely stable micro-machined structures made from crystalline quartz and silicon with no moving parts.
From a class of gyros known as Coriolis Effect Sensor, they operate by establishing a vibrating linear momentum in space which resists motion when rotating, resulting in a secondary vibration that is detected and converted to angular rate.
This miniature type sensor is commonly used in todays passenger cars and SUV with Electronic Stability Control (ESC).
Other application include marine navigation and stability control system, and GPS aiding system.
The gyroscope sensor XV-8100CB from EPSON TOYO Japan is the latest and smallest sensor in the market. But the SMD tiny package is very inconvenient to use. So we introduce this module so that you can easily plug and play.
This module comes with a straight header and extra unsoldered 2.54 mm (0.01 in) foottprint.
