A lot of people know what is 7805 and 7812 and what it can do. Let me introduce this new switching power module that can do more than a 78xx series regulator. This module is running in switching mode and it can run as low as 7V to as high as 60V without generating too much heat that the 78xx series does. Ideal for providing 5V DC source in a car, a boat , or a golf cart where the electric system is running as high as 48V~60V. A 78xx series regulator can go as high as 40V but will get burn anyway!
