This item is a VHF/UHF power meter with sensor (images 1 & 2) that can measure power from -27 dBm (2.0 uW) to -3 dBm (0.5 mW), with frequencies from 0.01 to 1.8 GHz. Accuracy in that power and frequency range is +/- 0.2 dBm. With a 30 dB directional coupler and 30 dB attenuator, the upper power limit can be extended to 500 watts. Most of what you see currently available in the high accuracy new and used test equipment market was originally designed for use in production testers. The 5130 Power Meter was designed to be a high accuracy, low cost and maintenance meter for design, development, installation, and service of VHF/UHF equipment. Either of two methods described in the 5130 Manual can be used to calibrate or check the calibration of the 5130 Power Meter. The first method uses the VHF/UHF source, described in paragraph 4.5 of the manual, set to any frequency between 15 and 50 MHz and 1 mW output. The second method uses a Function Generator with a 50 ohm BNC output set to the following output parameters: 15 MHz sinewave, 632 mV P-P amplitude.
