2-3 Gauge Type NM-B (Romex) Sheathed Cable
Type NM-B (non-metallic-sheathed cable or Romex) with ground is approved by most codes for both exposed and concealed building walls as long as moisture is not present and temperatures do not exceed 90 degrees Celsius. NM-B cable is used in residential wiring circuits for subpanels and load centers. Type NM-B cable can also be run through voids in masonry block or tile walls if little moisture is expected. Rated at 600 volts. Type NM-B cable is made to meet Underwriter's Laboratory Standards 83 and 719 (UL), Federal Specification A-A-59544 and requirements of the National Electrical Code (NEC). Type NM-B cable has 3 conductors and includes a full-size solid ground wire. Copper conductors are annealed stranded copper. Conductor insulation is color-coded black,red and white 2 AWG (American Wire Gauge).
