Beware of someone selling a cheap copy of our mills and kit giving our plans and video. You are not getting a Linn Lumber mill. They do not give you our tensioner or the same kit or mill as we do. They are trying to use the good name of Linn Lumber mills and fool you into thinking you are getting something you are not.
Building your own Sawmill and saving money!
So you've convinced yourself that having a portable bandsaw sawmill makes sense. You've priced some of the models out there and had the "not with my checkbook experience". Maybe you've thought about building the sawmill yourself and saving some money, but weren't sure where or how to begin.
This is a Linn Lumber model 1900 basic sawmill kit with all the parts to build the sawframe already cut out for you. This is the most important and hardest part to build on a sawmill. This is the heart of the sawmill. If this part is not right your mill is not going to cut accurate lumber.
This kit comes with the Band wheels, the bearings and shafts, blade guide wheels, a hydraulic blade tensioner, the steel tubing to build the sawframe and the bolts for the sawframe. It also includes the plans for the whole sawmill plus a video showing the assembly and adjusting of the mill. It does not include the track, carriage steel, engine mount or the band wheel and belt guard parts.
If you are a do it yourself kind of person that can weld, drill, tap and paint then this is the kit for you. You will receive all the tech support you need while building the mill.

We manufacture a basic, no-frills manual sawmill that is simple to operate and easy to maintain. We've eliminated the expensive extras that can fail or malfunction and result in costly repairs
With sawmill blade costs around 1 cent per board foot, (that's $10 for 1000 board feet!) it's a real penny pincher to operate. Add a few dollars a day for gas or electricity, and your boards literally cost you just pennies each. All our mobile sawmills use the readily available 1 1/4" wide band blades for excellent performance.
If you have a suitable engine or electric motor and would like to use it on your portable sawmill, we can help! Are you handy with a welder and want to build the sawmill track yourself? We supply the plans and you save the money by doing some of the work yourself. Or, perhaps you want to do the whole sawmill yourself using some of the parts we can provide. Whatever you decide, we can help you reach your goal of having a portable bandsaw sawmill. And, it will be one you can be proud of and enjoy using.
