This is a wonderful 6" x 9" x 1 " vintage hardcover book titled Livestock Marketing, written by
Austin Allyn Dowell & Knute Bjorka, It was published in 1941 by McGraw Hill as a Stated First
Edition, fourth impression. There are 534 pages, 24 chapters printed on thin, semi-glossy paper,
with many vintage black & white illustrations (photos, charts, graphs, tables), and an index.
Examples of the illustrations (shown above) are the photos of "Slaughter Swine, U.S. Grades,"
& a rancher riding in an old wagon. Dark-red cloth cover with gold lettering on a black background.

This book would be a great collectible reference text for students in agricultural colleges, particularly
those in the field of marketing & livestock. Everything you might want to know about the cattle, sheep,
and pork industry during the 1930's -1941.
Front cloth cover is in Very Good+ Condition with bumped & rubbed corners.
Back cloth cover has what looks like a spot of white paint or white-out, otherwise Very Good condition
with a small tear to the spine-bottom; spine-ends and corner-tips lightly worn, slightly shaken.
Interior pages are in Very Good+ to Excellent condition (front-endpaper has a small smudge, previous
owner's name neatly printed, and one mended small edge-tear. Obviously used to study from -
some pencil markings, but not many. Spine is intact but loosening.
