Manufactured specifically for use in the ticketing industry as a high performance, value-priced product, the DMX-ST-3210 redefines on-demand printing price and performance criteria for industry specific applications. The printer is designed with an all-metal enclosure and locking cabinet. It also incorporates a self-alignment, automatic ticket feeding mechanism that supports industry standard fan-fold ticket stock.
The DMX-ST-3210 is the fastest, most configurable ticket printer to be introduced to the admissions industry.
It is designed to break new barriers in price and performance, and is the first product in a class of specialty printers that Datamax will be introducing over the coming months and years.
The S-Class will include a series of specialty printers designed to bring solutions to niche markets including admissions, print and apply, and various other print-on-demand industries. Datamax is leveraging its experience in producing thermal printers to develop products for these and other niche markets.
The development of the ticket printer within Datamax was driven by market research identifying the potential growth of thermal printer sales within the ticket printing industry. The driving force for the growth is the combined demands for automation, printing of variable data, reduction of fraud, and the increased use of the Internet as an avenue to print and sell tickets. Our research shows the combination of these factors presents a tremendous opportunity for a high performance, thermal ticket printer with a list price less than US$1,500.
After careful review of the admissions industry, Datamax has developed and launched the first in a line of thermal ticket printers. The ST-3210 operates in direct thermal mode, prints an image area of up to 3.25" wide and accommodates fan-fold stock. This product has more standard features, better overall performance, and a more competitive price than its identified competition.
