This item was received in a load of salvage freight recently, and they are perfectly new and clean in every respect. These appear to be injection molded, however there are no protrusions of any kind as a result of the molding process. If you are using them for shims or spacers, they will stack absolutely flat against one another; unlike some inferior products that are out there.
Because of nylon's toughness, slipperiness, and resistance to wear, joints shimmed with nylon washers move easily even when snug and are very durabe. Nylon is resistant to water, fuels, lubricants, and most chemicals, but is attacked by phenols, strong acids, and oxidizing agents. It has especially good resistance to repeated impact, a low coefficient of friction, and excellent abrasion resistance. Suitable for most applications with continuous temperatures up to +150F.
