Hughes Network Systems UpConverter
Functional Description of this UpConverter as per Hughes Network Systems Manual:
The UpConverter Module (UCM) translates the intermediate frequency output of the modulator to RF frequencies prior to transmission. UpConverter module receives a single 23.6 MHz. +/- 1 MHz. Tx-IF signal and translates it to the 850 MHz. Frequency Band. It also serves as part of the closed loop output power level control system. The UpConverter provides +7 dB (+/-3 dB) of conversion Gain with power level control set for maximum RF output.
